The Ampere Sensor is a wireless AC current sensor designed to accurately and continuously monitor current flow on existing electrical lines. Available in a wide range from 10A up to 500A RMS, its split-core design allows for quick installation around live power cables—just like clipping on a carabiner—without disconnecting the electrical system.
With an integrated battery lasting up to 10 years, the Ampere Sensor is ideal for long-term and hard-to-reach applications. All measurements are easily accessible in real-time via web interface, mobile app, or API, making it fully compatible with IoT platforms and industrial automation systems.

The sensor detects the magnetic field generated by current flowing through a conductor. This field induces a proportional current in an internal coil. The Neuron wireless module converts the signal (0–10V) into digital data and transmits it to a nearby Neuron Gateway, which then forwards it to the Neuron Cloud.
The sensor measures current every 10 seconds. If the current varies more than 20% of the full-scale range compared to the last reading, it triggers an immediate data transmission. Otherwise, data is sent every 2 minutes.
