The J-80 encoder is one of the most compact designs intended for direct mounting behind induction motors, especially in elevator applications. Its robust and space-saving construction makes it ideal for constrained installation environments.

It features a shatter-proof polycarbonate disk, LED system compensated for aging and temperature, ASIC-based internal electronics, and surge-resistant circuitry. The output stage is designed to support long-distance signal transmission.

Available in both blind and through hollow shaft versions, with bore sizes ranging from 19 to 42 mm, the J-80 provides IP50 or IP65 protection (up to 70 °C), operates up to 100 °C, and offers three resolution options: 1024, 2048, and 4096 PPR. It supports multiple connection styles (side gland, M12/M23, or D-type connectors) and can be clamped from the front or rear.
